Baskets, bunnies, chicks... and a surprise

If you would ask me what day of the week I like the most, I say Saturday. I love all I do, but Eco Kids workshop I enjoy the most. Here we have so many different activities in one time. Great kids playing, painting, constructing, dancing, singing... This is just awesome!

Today was the last meeting of Eco Kids in this session.
The next session we start on 14th of April.

Today was special, cause during the workshop we made many very different projects with each group.
  • wooden bunnies...
  • and wooden chicks, which Eco Kids had to make from the small pieces and then they painted them beautifully
  • bags' bunnies, funny bugs made from many, many bugs:)
  • paper tube bunnies so cute and full of interesting details
  • paper bags Eco Kids changed in special paper bags with their names of it with many colors, signs, etc. Stamped with the potato stamps.
  • bottom of the bottle baskets with green grass, eggs in it.
  • Easter hanging decoration with Easter motives painted.
Isn't it a lot? Eco kids worked hard today, project after project, but we had time to go out and play a little also.
In the end of the session each kid got a special notebook called The Green Book with her/his name and photo on it. The notebook is to put there the ideas for the works and notes about ecology. Eco Kids liked the notebooks a lot!

See you in 2 weeks, I will put on the blog the detailed program for the next session soon.

Easter arts & crafts starts

On this sunny Saturday we started our Easter projects. Easter is so soon!
The first group made beautiful pictures using some different materials and techniques. The most funny was painting chicken. Eco Kids really liked it.
Then the first group of Eco Kids made the spring mirrors. They came out amazing! Take a look at the pictures, then you will see. Also some Eco Kids from the second group, who weren't last Saturday at the workshop made the mirrors. The whole group made also the wooden chickens. They had to connect the little parts and then paint it the way they liked.
Today we had also something very exciting... the basket lottery! There we had recycling baskets. Eco Kids had the chance to made them colorful - give them the new look! Some were small, some were big and everybody draw the ticket with the number, then I read the numbers and each Eco Kid took the basket with the right number. It was something new! Eco Kids painted them in many colors (some decided on the spring colors, some... the flag colors:) The baskets looked totally different in the end. They can be a great decoration at home and also Eco Kids can put many things inside them.

The next Saturday is the last in this session and as always the last in the session - special. I have a nice and useful very individual gift for each Eco Kids! Looking forward to the last Saturday of March!
