Hearts to share

Valentine's Day is soon. Great day to share great feelings. Eco Kids started today their preparation to it. So it was pinky and red in our class today! First group from 12 to 2 pm started with the sweet, big candies from the toilet tubes. They put inside the real candies and then cover it with pink, red and white paper. Then Eco Kids decorate it how they had the invention to do it, with the ribbon, small hearts, etc. Looked beautiful!

Then they painted the wooden hearts. One project was the puzzle from two hearts and the second heart on the wooden square. Both came out colorful and original.

Eco Kids can give them to the persons who are close to them. Some of the kid went outside, playing on the snow, but some did not want to freeze. Anyway we all ate the warm waffles. Yummy!
The first and the second group were learning today about recycling from the book "Follow That Trash. All about Recycling" by Francine Jacobs. My son, Stas read it to the kids. For Eco Kids it appeared interesting what is going on with the trash you throw away...

In the second group we welcomed a new Eco Girl! She and some other Eco Kids made their own hand prints on the furniture in the class as Eco kids members. They were white as clouds, green as grass and blue as water - eco colors.

The second group from 3 to 5 pm were doing some different project, because there were the kids who wanted to make the project which Eco Kids made when they did not still join Eco Kids workshop or they were away. So some made footprint snowmen, reindeer, rocket, turtle, etc. There was one new girl, who made a horse. It is a great feeling when you can make wishes come true. This was it! Also they made the same wooden hearts as the first group.

There was a disco when it started to be dark, too in the end of the second session. Eco Kids had fun!

It was a great workshop, thanks to all amazing little artists, Eco Kids!
