The boat is ready to sail!

This was so exciting Saturday! We made a huge boat from the cardboard boxes. I had many of them after renovation in my house and of course how could I just throw them away? So we reused them to have a good time. We made the boat all together as a team. Age did not matter, everyone had something to build: life boats, sails, flag, etc. Kids were so excited and involved - it was just great to see it! This project was unique and I was happy kids loved it as much as I did.

The next project was a wooden dog. First Eco Kids had to connect all the pieces of wood to get the dog (terrier) ready to paint. It was not so easy, but they managed. They painted the dogs in brown, white, black, etc. The dogs were drying during the time of making the boat. The first group will finish them next Saturday, the second group, who did not make the boat, but was playing in it, had the time to finish the dogs. Second group put the spots on the dogs, they also made the cats out of the cat food boxes.
I gave all Eco Kids the books, where the dog was one of the characters. They were looking forward to read it at home.

Do you think that now the cardboard boxes are not useful anymore? No! We will build something new out of it and now I already have an idea...
