The new session in two groups started!

It was a great beginning of the new session. Now Eco Kids meet in two groups: 12 - 2 pm and 3 - 5 pm. This works very well and I am happy there is more and more kids interested in my ecoworkshop. It has a unique idea of kids' activities combining outdoor games, indoor games and arts and crafts.

Today we started playing outside in our favorite games. There were so much running, hiding and laughing! It involved everybody without any exceptions.

In the classroom we made the first work: the rocket from the plastic bottle. It was very difficult and I have to say that kids were working so good: with patience, involvement and excitement. It took us about an hour to do it. In the windows of the rockets they drawn mostly themselves, parents and their pets.

The second art and craft project we just started with the first group, cause there is more kids and it took a lot of time, but was so funny! I painted the feet of the kids and then they made the print on the paper... It will be the snowman next time! Eco Kids loved this painting, everybody made it and some of the kids wanted to repeat it:)

The other group finished the project, what you can see on the photos. Then Eco Girls were making some other things and Eco Boys were playing ecogames. In the end we had a small... disco ecoparty! Wow!

Ecoworkshop was full of energy of happy kids like it is always has been.

Looking forward to the next Saturday! We will make ponies and this is also very interesting project, I tell you:)

Wonderful bookmarks end the winter break session

It was the end of the winter break session today, we celebrated this with waffles and chocolate and of course... recycling:) The session was great - kids learned a lot about saving the planet by games, arts & crafts, songs, videos and books. They also learned social skills by working together as a group and helping each other in projects. They were so inspired that coming back home they made a lot of things by themselves out of the recycling materials. I was happy to get  presents from my Eco Kids: plastic jewelery and candle in the jar. I was so excited by kids ideas and thankful as well.

Eco Kids made today wonderful bookmarks with all the colors, some of them look like a rainbow. Take a look at the pictures and enjoy the colors.

Also we read the book by Lauren Child with Charlie and Lola "Snow is my favorite and my best" and painted the snowman on the black paper using corks. Then we used the branches as their hands. One snowman stayed in the class.

There were still kids who wanted to do... the garages.

So they did with so many new ideas, because there is always the possibility to realize their requests and wishes.
On Saturday January 14 we start the next great session, which will last for 5 weeks. Kids will have new experiences, arts & crafts, games and... songs.

Looking forward to see Eco Kids again! 'Let's Go Green! Kids' as our favourite song goes.

Ecoboats time

Ania, Tomek, Daniel, Wiktoria, Julia, Antek, Helena and Zosia, my great Eco Kids team, made boats today. It was a complicated work, made out of the bottom of the plastic bottles, corks of wine, ropes, etc. It took some time to make beautiful ecoboats. Then we had an idea of the sea... There should be the place for the boats. So we made a sea, of course!

Some kids made also wonderful wooden bookmarks. They had already cutten some shapes in it, like butterflies, ponies, hearts, etc.

Later Eco Girls were painting with a new technique, using the corks. The pictures they made were very interesting. Two other Eco Girls, who couldn't come yesterday, made cameras.

Two new Eco Boys made a special kind of garage. They were so involved in doing it and so busy, you should see them. Their sister, Ania helped them a lot. In the end they could present it to the whole group.

This rainy, dark day went so great in the class - full of music and colors! We love to be eco!
As usual we ate fruits today, but also waffles...

See you tomorrow! As always I am looking forward!
