Ecosnakes are coming.... ssssssssss.......

It was a rainy, but a lovely day! We had so much to do today! The biggest work was the long ecosnake. It had 1,5 m, can you imagine? We used plastic bottles to do it! First we had to make 4 parts of the ecosnake skin. The ideas how they will look like came from the kids and were so interesting. Some made the skin with the date of New Year and some with four seasons, one was looking like a real one, just more colorful.

Then we made cameras from milk boxes. The kids chose the colors, so that is why they came out so different. Then Eco Kids were making a lot of "photos" after. It was fun. I loved that first they did it and then they played with it!

We also played the board game, made by the kids. Every time it is so exciting to play with it.

This was a great time, full of art & crafts!

Here you have what you wish... eco choice

There are the days during our winter ecoworkshop that everybody would like to do something what she or he haven't done yet, but would love to do. Sometimes the kids would like to repeat the art & craft done before in a different way. And it is great we have time and occasion to do it. This was the day of different wishes of the kids. So you can see on the photos the garages, skate parks, pictures with the string, wooden ornaments, etc.

 

 

  

Outside we played funny games and with the flashlights. Divided in two groups we were looking for each other in the darkness...

Ecowalk along the river

Ecowalk is a walk when you observe the world around you and note what you can change for better, what is needed, when you think how to make a world a better place.

Everyone matters as we talked today during our walk to the river. Eco Kids took the notebooks and noted and drawn many interesting ideas. We took also a dog on the walk with us. We went down to the river and it was so upsetting to see all the trash there. We talked about it what to do with the trash.

On the walk we talked about the birds in the winter time and saw some fruits for them still on the branches. 

Arts & crafts today was painting the new technique the winter decorations and again... yes... the garages - kids still asks about it with so many new ideas! There was also one skate park! Wow! And the box for treasures:)

Then it was dark already and we could play with the flashlights in the garden! That was fun!

The third winter session starts!

There is no snow for now, but it is still winter, isn't it? We had a great day today with Eco Kids. Playing outside gives the kids lots of energy and make them happy. Except for playing the favorite games we also made the kids' names out of the boxes, because we had two new members! They joined the ecoworkshop very interested in everything we do. 

Art & crafts today was a choice of the new members, so some made a garage (it is so popular!) and a road for extreme races. One girl made a beautiful calendar for 2012 with photos of nature. 

We also painted the wooden animals and glass vases, but we will continue working on this also tomorrow.
