Summer with Eco Kids part I

So it is summer! Great time for all! We can enjoy good weather, playing outside all the time and having picnics. We had some interesting projects to do this Saturday. First it was one inspired by my favorite author Amy Krouse Rosenthal, who came to Poland last month and it was unforgettable visit for ASW parents and kids. We made pine coins with secret messages for friends, family and any person you can meet. This message can make someone's day!!! The project took a lot of time, because first Eco Kids painted the baskets and then wrote the messages.

Apart from that we had a picnic with some cookies and fruits from the garden. It was nice to sit together and talk about summer plans.

We also made magnets for refrigerator. Eco Kids could choose the ones they liked: animals or machines. They made them colorful. Next Saturday we will continue working on them.

Field trip to The Farm Of Illusion

Yesterday we had a great trip to The Farm Of Illusion. We went by bus. It was a good time - of playing and singing. Kids were great during almost 2 hours. On the way back they took a break. Some even slept! We had a great driver also:)

At The Farm Eco Kids had plenty of activities. First we had a tour with guide. He explained us the things with illusion, how one man's eye can see things different that they are. He showed a lot of pictures to illustrate it. Then we visited many exciting places: table with the plate, where you can put... your head, tilted house, maze, etc. There were also two playgrounds with the things kids love to play. There were chess almost as big as from "Harry Potter" movie, huge chair, etc.

Short Summer Session

 SHORT SUMMER HOLIDAYS ECOSESSION

• art & crafts: *Monster Family* made out of many materials, wooden *Magnets for refrigerator*, wooden *Yo-yo*, cupboard *Swords*, cupboard *Castles* and others.

Summer is coming!

It is difficult to believe, it was the last activity in this school year... We had 45 meetings this year! Eco Kids made many many great projects. They learned a lot and also had a lot of fun in every season. 

I am happy to be a leader and look forward to the next school year 2012/2013.

During the last meeting before the school ends Eco Kids made arts & crafts connected to summer:

• were painting summer motives on the bags and during the summer they will use it to carry towels, sun cream, etc. on the beach  
• decorating stones with summer signs and words
• decorating frames for summer photos
• painting bookmarks for summer books

There was also time to get together and play. "Go Eco Kids" wrote on some stones my daughter Helena and let's do it!

For now Eco Kids are ready for the trip to Farm of Illusion! This is next week! Can't wait!
